The 2014 Formula SAE race car, designed and built by U of S students, is a complete redesign of the 2013 model. The race car features custom designs resulting in a lighter and more efficient car.

"Every four years, the team develops an entirely new generation car," said Brett Derkach, vice-president of the Huskie Motorsports Racing Team. "This year's model features a smaller and narrower chassis design which improves how the car moves. We've also completed an overhaul of the engine and integrated more high-performance carbon-fibre racing components."

Members of the Huskie Motorsports Team will be on hand for interviews and to provide demonstrations of the new design immediately after the unveiling. Â The Huskie Motorsports Team will accompany the Formula SAE race car to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Formula SAE West competition, June 18-21, 2014. They are competing against an international field of racing teams from universities across the world.
