Graduating: Edwards School of Business (including Aboriginal Business Administration Certificate, Business Administration Certificate, Executive Business Administration Certificate) and Law

Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree:Â Dallas Howe

Entrepreneur and business executive Dallas Howe has spent a lifetime building a strong and diverse Saskatchewan economy including operating the family farm that has been in the family for over 130 years. Howe is the chair of the Board of Directors of Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan; chief executive officer and owner of DSTC, a technology/real estate investment company; chair of the board of Advanced Data Systems; an advisor to BDM Information Systems; and on the board of the C.D. Howe Institute. In 2013, Howe became the first Board chair of the Global Food Security Institute, a public-private partnership of the Government of Saskatchewan, University of Saskatchewan and PotashCorp. He has a Bachelor of Arts Honours and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Saskatchewan.

Student of interest: Leighanne Gardipy, the Canadian Bar Association — SK Branch Award of excellence winner and DIVA Foundation Scholarship recipient, has recently been elected to the band council for the Beardy's and Okemasis First Nation.

Graduating: Education

Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree: Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish

Izzeldin Abuelaish, OOnt, MD, MPH, is a Palestinian physician and an internationally-recognized human rights and inspirational peace activist. He is devoted to advancing health and education opportunities for women and girls in the Middle East through his research and his charitable organization, The Daughters of Life Foundation. Abuelaish autobiography, I Shall Not Hate: A Gaza Doctor's Journey (2010) details the death of his three daughters and niece in the 2009 Gaza War. The book is an international bestseller and a testament to his commitment to forgiveness as the solution to conflict and the catalyst towards peace. The three-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee has been referred to as the Martin Luther King of the Middle East.

Student of interest: Convocation co-ordinator, Danielle Rudulier, will have a unique view of this spring's ceremonies when she walks across the stage to receive her Master of Educational Administration degree.

To media who plan to attend convocation

Photographers may take photos from anywhere except on the stage once the ceremonies begin.

Reserved space for media is located on the second floor to the left of the stage (all other seats are reserved for the graduating students and their guests.The route graduates use as they proceed to the stage must be kept clear.
