U of S Students compete to be the next Student Iron Chef
The University of Saskatchewan invites media to attend the Next Student Iron Chef competition.

U of S students will face off in a head-to-head competition hoping to be named the Next Student Iron Chef. Following a similar format to the popular Iron Chef TV series, the student version will feature seven teams of four students competing against their peers in a culinary challenge.
Participating teams developed their own recipes based on family favourites, new creations or cultural classics. Teams will begin preparing their meals at 4 pm and begin presenting their final plated meals to the panel of judges at 5:30 pm.
Panel of judges include:
Kevin Stanfield - morning news weather specialist, Global News
Trevor Robertson - executive chef, the Radisson Hotel Saskatoon, and vice-president of the Canadian Culinary Federation Saskatoon Chefs Association and winner of the 2013 Gold Medal Plates
Darren Craddock - executive chef, Riverside Golf and Country Club and winner of the 2012 Gold Medal Plates
James McFarland - executive chef and assistant director, U of S Culinary Services
Max FineDay - president of the University of Saskatchewan's Student Union
Ahmed Mohammed - sous chef , U of S Culinary Services (kitchen judge)
Competitors will be available for interviews during the food preparation portion of the event from 4:15 pm to 5:15pm.
