National Aboriginal Day celebration on U of S campus
The Diefenbaker Canada Centre (DCC), University of Saskatchewan (U of S) and the Whitecap Dakota First Nation (WDFN) are pleased to co-host a National Aboriginal Day celebration and welcome Saskatoon and area communities to join us on campus for this free, all-ages cultural event.

The Bowl, University of Saskatchewan
The opening ceremony will start at 1 pm with WDFN Elder, Senator Littlecrow. Remarks will follow from Her Honour Vaughn Solomon Schofield, the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, Mayor Don Atchison, Chief Darcy Bear and U of S Interim President Gordon Barnhart. Donny Speidel and the Buffalo Boys, and Joseph Naytowhow will perform on the main stage.
There will also be a tent set up with cultural activities, along with displays from the WDFN, DCC and the Office of the Treaty Commissioner. The celebration will conclude with a round dance at 4 pm.
