U of S College of Law to host Sallows Fry Conference

Media are invited to attend the 2015 Sallows Fry Conference this week, hosted by the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan.

The Sallows Fry Conference brings together local and national experts, activists, artists and guests to discuss topics surrounding the criminalization and imprisonment of Indigenous women and those with disabling mental health issues.

The two-day conference begins with a ceremonial opening ceremony featuring Chief Kimberly Jonathan and other First Nations leaders, as well as a performance by the Strong Women Drummers.

Conference organizer Kim Pate will be available for media interviews.
