The University of Saskatchewan (U of S) Department of Philosophy will celebrate World Philosophy Day by hosting an intergenerational philosophical dialogue about the nature and ethics of "the digital self."

Thursday, Nov. 19, 10am-noon
Albert Community Centre
610 Clarence Avenue South
Saskatoon

World Philosophy Day is a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) initiative that "underlines the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for each culture and for each individual." Philosophical reflection "is the best way to educate enlightened citizens, equipped to fight stupidity and prejudice," according to UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
