Acclaimed author/musician to speak at U of S

SASKATOON - Nationally acclaimed author and musician Dave Bidini will deliver two talks at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) on Friday, Jan. 22. His evening address is part of Writing North, a free two-day writing festival that targets aspiring writers from across the province.

Bidini is the only person to have been nominated for a Gemini, Genie and Juno award, as well CBC's Canada Reads. A founding member of the influential Canadian indie rock band Rheostatics, he is the author of 12 books, including On a Cold Road, Tropic of Hockey, Around the World in 57 ½ Gigs and Baseballissimo, which is being developed for the screen. He also writes a weekly column for the National Post.
