International banking leader to head U of S roundtable

SASKATOON - Members of the media are invited to attend a roundtable discussion on global economic development challenges and issues on Wednesday at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S). The event will feature retired international banking executive Rajat Nag—the former head of the Asian Development Bank—who was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws at U of S Spring Convocation this week:

Among those joining Nag in the discussion will be renowned U of S public policy professor Ken Coates, Colleen Christensen of the National Research Council Canada, Joanne Baczuk of the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority and Dirk Propp of the North Saskatoon Business Association. Rob Norris, U of S senior strategist for partnerships, will co-chair the event along with U of S business professor emeritus Asit Sarkar.

Media interviews can be conducted with participants at 1:15 pm for 10 minutes prior to the event, or following the discussion at 3:30 pm.
