MEDIA ADVISORY: Nassers matching donations to U of S students

SASKATOON - The University of Saskatchewan (U of S) is holding its third annual One Day for Students campaign on Thursday, March 10, when we invite the university community, alumni, donors and friends to make a special donation to enhance the U of S experience for our over 20,000 students.

Professor Emeritus Kay Nasser and his wife Dora are matching every dollar donated to the President's Student Experience Fund and the Nasser Family Emergency Student Trust that day, up to a maximum of $40,000.

Media are invited to attend the keynote address by Kay Nasser:

Donations to the President's Student Experience Fund have helped students host conferences, participate in international competitions and apply their learning outside the classroom. The Nasser Family Emergency Student Trust was established by Kay and Dora Nasser to support students who experience unforeseeable or unique financial hardship to allow them to continue their studies at the U of S. Kay Nasser will be available for interviews on Thursday at 2:45 pm.

More information on the fundraising campaign is available here.
