U of S to host international human rights law conference

SASKATOON - Professor Anne-Marie Cotter, the Law Foundation of Saskatchewan H. Robert Arscott Chair in the College of Law, is pleased to host the International Human Rights Law Conference at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S).

This conference will bring together leaders in the field of human rights law from around the world. It will touch on important human rights issues, including disability law impacting children and adults, race relations in the United States, refugee law in Europe, and environmental sustainability as it impacts human rights globally.

The conference will include a keynote address at noon by the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, as well as presentations by an array of distinguished speakers including Alex Neve (Amnesty International), Marvin M. Bernstein (UNICEF Canada), Anderson Joyce (CUSO International) and Oonagh Fitzgerald (Centre for International Governance Innovation).
