Winter Orientation welcomes new U of S students
SASKATOON - With classes resuming at the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) on Tuesday, Jan. 5, close to 170 new students are beginning their campus experience today at the university's Winter Orientation.
At today's session, undergraduate students beginning studies in the College of Arts and Science, the College of Agriculture and Bioresources, the Edwards School of Business (which is accepting new students in January for the first time) as well as new graduate students, will be introduced to the U of S and their programs. They will also have the opportunity to meet other new and current students from across campus.
Media are invited to attend the following events today:
Campus tour:
12:30-1:30 pm
Tour departs from the Welcome Centre in Lower Place Riel (behind the Treats location)
Welcome and introduction to the U of S:
1:30-3:30 pm
Room 241, Arts Building (Neatby-Timlin Theatre)
Focused information sessions:
3:30-4 pm
4-4:30 pm
Students can choose two focused information sessions to attend:
Information fair and social:
4:30-6:30 pm
Place Riel North Concourse
Campus services, student groups and college representatives will be available at the Information Fair to answer any additional questions students have and to help them learn how to get involved here at the U of S.
