U of S hosts Volunteer Summit, part of Alumni Association Centennial

SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan (U of S) invites members of the media to attend its Volunteer Summit, a day-long event celebrating volunteerism in Saskatchewan:

The event, part of the University of Saskatchewan Alumni Association Centennial, includes a symposium for volunteers, community leaders and board members. The symposium features keynote addresses from national volunteerism experts, a volunteer expo with community non-profit organizations, and a gala including the introduction of a U of S alumni volunteer award.

Media are encouraged to arrive at 10 am for an address by Ilona Dougherty, co-founder of Apathy is Boring, who will be discussing the impact of millennial and Generation Z volunteers. 

Interviews with Dougherty and Volunteer Summit co-chair and U of S alumna Tammy Forrester can be arranged at the conclusion of Dougherty’s address.
