U of S welcomes Kay Nasser for the 2017 C.J. Mackenzie Gala of Engineering Excellence

SASKATOON - The University of Saskatchewan (U of S) invites media to attend the 2017 C.J. Mackenzie Gala with Kay Nasser, U of S alumnus and professor emeritus.

TCU Place
35 22nd Street East

Born and raised in Lebanon, Nasser earned his PhD at the U of S, where he served as a professor of civil engineering for 33 years. His research led to the invention of the K-slump tester, a device that easily tests the consistency, or slump, of fresh concrete. The tester was used in the construction of Toronto’s CN Tower and is still widely used today.

The C.J. Mackenzie Gala of Engineering Excellence provides an opportunity for the engineering community to celebrate one of its own.
