White Coat Ceremony milestone for USask dentistry students

SASKATOON – Members of the media are invited to attend the University of Saskatchewan (USask) College of Dentistry White Coat Ceremony.

The event will celebrate 34 second-year Doctor of Dental Medicine students and eight International Dental Degree Program students in their progression to the dentistry profession during an annual white coat ceremony.  The ceremony, which marks a student’s transition from the simulation lab to patient care and clinical treatment, will take place:

Dr. Doug Brothwell, Dean of the College of Dentistry, will host the ceremony during which each student will be gifted with a crested white lab coat provided by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan.

Dr. Nekky Jamal, Class of 2009, will give the keynote address.

The ceremony features a special musical interlude performed by second-year student Jonghm Choi (Class of 2022).
