Media invited to USask conference exploring Saskatchewan’s tech future
SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan (USask) invites media to attend Digitized, Saskatchewan’s largest technology career event for high school students. Speakers will discuss emerging technologies and why the future of tech is here in Saskatchewan.
More than 300 students are expected to attend the one-day conference, where they will explore career options, participate in hands-on workshops, and learn how computer science is changing the world.

This year’s keynote speaker is Jon Lovering, a USask graduate and senior software engineer at local agriculture technology start-up Precision AI. Lovering will discuss why Saskatchewan is uniquely positioned to be a technology leader. He will be available for interviews following his keynote address scheduled for 9:40–10:45 am in Arts Building 143.
USask researchers will also present on topics including the human impacts of artificial intelligence (AI), social media, and video games. A full schedule is available at http://digitized.usask.ca.
