USask and local food banks to launch innovative soup mix
SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan (USask) is unveiling an innovative soup mix that will have an impact in our communities.
The product is a collaboration with the USask College of Agriculture and Bioresources, USask's Global Institute for Food Security, Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc., Regina Food Bank, and the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.
Members of the media are invited to the announcement and to sample the soup.

Speakers: Dr. Baljit Singh (PhD), vice-president research, USask; Dr. Mehmet Tulbek (PhD), president, Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre Inc.; and David Froh, vice-president community, Regina Food Bank.
A media scrum opportunity with the speakers and Dr. Michael Nickerson (PhD), research lead for the soup mix collaboration, will be held following the program.
