Vetavision 2024 showcases veterinary medicine on USask campus

SASKATOON – Veterinary students at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) welcome people of all ages to explore the world of veterinary medicine during Vetavision, a family-friendly public open house that takes place at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM) on Sept. 20 and 21.

Held every two years, Vetavision showcases the many roles of veterinarians in animal health, public health, research, agriculture and food safety, and community service. Organized and hosted by WCVM veterinary students, the two-day educational event includes interactive displays, tours, demonstrations, and a wide range of animals to visit on site.

One of this year’s special events is “VETMED: then and now,” a panel discussion featuring members of the WCVM Class of 1969 (the college’s first graduating class) and current veterinary students. The panel takes place in Room 2302 at the WCVM from 12 to 1 pm on Saturday, Sept. 21.
