USask students tackle environment and sustainability-related challenges
SASKATOON – Media are invited to attend the annual University of Saskatchewan (USask) Student Sustainability Trade Show, where students will showcase their innovative capstone projects aimed at addressing critical environmental and sustainability issues.
Participants from the Environmental Science Capstone and Sustainability in Action courses will present their work, which integrates knowledge from both social and natural sciences. Their projects cover a variety of topics, including small-scale organic waste management, prevention of Dutch Elm Disease, the installation of solar panels on campus, research and monitoring of Boreal Ecosystems, the promotion of native prairie flowers, and the creation of a bee pollinator garden.
