USask to host 97th annual Remembrance Day ceremony
SASKATOON – The University of Saskatchewan (USask) community, members of the public, and the media are invited to gather for USask’s 97th annual wreath-laying ceremony on Tuesday, November 11 at the Memorial Gates in honour of Remembrance Day.
In times of war and peace, many USask community members have contributed and sacrificed in service to the country. The university’s long and proud tradition of military service by faculty, staff, students, and alumni is commemorated in a series of stories and messages shared online and across campus.
There will be a brief program followed by the laying of the wreaths. All are invited lay a wreath and to visit the many memorials around campus that pay tribute to those in our campus community who have served. Several memorials are located throughout the USask campus and can be found on the campus memorial map.
Visit the Spotlight website for more information about Remembrance Day at USask.
