"Congratulations to our 148 Huskie athletes who excelled in the classroom and were named as U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians," said Huskies Chief Athletics Officer Shannon Chinn. "Through the 2020-2021 academic year, our athletes remained committed Huskies continuing with their training and studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Their resiliency and adaptability during the difficult season is to be commended."
"The virtual environment of the last year was not ideal. Yet, each of our students persevered and excelled in their studies," Chinn continued. "We are so proud to call these students ambassadors for Huskie Athletics and the University of Saskatchewan. They have led the way for their teammates and their peers. We wish them all the best as they continue their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence."
The U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians were U SPORTS athletes that had at least an 80 per cent average on a minimum of 18 credit units over the course of the 2020-2021 school year.
